Xuwen Andrew Yan 闫续文 is a writer and filmmaker currently based in Chicago.

Born in 2001 in Luoyang, China, he moved to the U.S. in his early teenage years to pursue his dream of being a filmmaker. He studied Philosophy and Filmmaking at DePaul University, and his works frequently explores the metaphysical and existential themes of the very human experiences.

Currently, he serves on the programming team for Shorts at the 61st Chicago International Film Festival.
